We recently invited a large number of advisers to participate in our annual client satisfaction survey, and many thanks to those of you who took the time to complete it. The survey is run every year and your candid feedback is very important, helping us to understand what we are doing well and, more importantly, what we can do to improve.

Your ongoing show of support for our index funds and ETFs is encouraging, as is your growing level of interest in our low-cost actively managed funds. It may seem strange that Vanguard, best known for its index funds, is promoting active investing. But the choice between active and passive is not binary; active investing makes a lot of sense if investors can identify and access top investment talent at low cost and can maintain a long-term investment horizon. We have developed a framework that you can use with clients to help them understand the active/passive debate and make informed decisions.

However, helping you succeed will take more than funds alone, as professional advice and the human touch will remain crucial to investment success. Many of you told us that you value our support materials, research and events and want to see more, so we will be looking at ways to better support you in client conversations. For example, we are working on a piece of research that explores the attitudes and behaviours of advised UK investors and the findings will be revealed at our annual symposium in October. Click here for more details.

Additionally, workshops and seminars will continue to be offered throughout the rest of this year and into next. Such meetings will help us better understand your evolving needs and ensure that the right products, service and support are being delivered.
